The GT looks like a fat Honda "crossover." The 3er touring wins by a knockout in the first round.

Still holding out for a stunning 4 series Gran Coupe!
I doubt it has "most of the utility" of the wagon. It offers easier entry compared to the sedan for large cargo but not much else. Wagon has vertical cargo space that really comes in handy from time to time.

Touring gets my vote.

All of them have theyr practicality. It's a matter of tastes. For me the touring looks awsome and the GT it's a cool car for a more spacer F30. It's amaising. But that's just me,and i like them all anyway, they did a good job with the whole car,not only the design,or performance,of who know what else...the purpose of the car is the trully meaning and remember,we are just different guys and girls around here. Just pick one and be happy with it,doesn't matter who do not like that or this car and why...you just like it or not, more or less. Nice cars

I too am a wagon lover, and an ardent hater of the 5GT, but I don't see how the 3GT is so "horrible". It really is far better looking than I expected, and while the proportions are a bit unusual due to its height, I don't find anything offensive about it. It feels more like some of you are trying to hate it out of your loyalty to wagons, almost.

Touring every day of the week and twice on sunday. For one, it doesn't have that hideous scoop on the front fender. Secondly, it doesn't have the hideous *everything else* that the GT has.

I just can't feel the sedan love. I've never owned a sedan, only hatchbacks, 2-seaters, and a (M3) coupe. I don't get the point in having a wagon-sized car, but having the limited trunk space of a sedan. I guess you could make the same argument "why would anyone buy a coupe when the sedan is the same size but more useful", but to me, neither makes any sense.

Having owned a coupe and a few 2-seaters, .. if you want a sports car, buy a 2-seater, don't buy a 4 seat coupe and try to convince yourself it's a 2-seater.

If you want something that you can fit more in, buy a wagon. Don't waste your time with large-footprint cars that are artificially limited out of some maladjusted sense of style. Sedans are too generic, coupes are too pointless.

Love the sedan, but can't make up my mind about the other two just yet. I thinck this is my of the those things that i would have to see in person to make up my mind.

Without a shadow of doubt, here would be my ordered preference:

1. Sedan
2. Touring
3. The Black Plague
4. GT

+1 Exactly what is the point of the GT? Destroy the look of a nice sedan for legroom? If you want a bigger car than get the 5er, or get a SUV. IMO this is wasted resources, BMW could have used the resources in designing a proper Cayman, or 911 competitor instead of building more cars to compete with Lexus.

Good lord - that backward "7" on the fender. BMW can't be serious, can they? It cheapens the look of the entire car significantly.

The GT is horrible. Less horrible than the 5er GT. But that's not saying much.

Why will they bring this poorly proportioned vehicle here with the turbo six but not the wagon? I guess I'll have to be satified with the diesel wagon over here...

The Touring is the best of the sedan with great proportions and driving dynamics (this GT is another 150lbs heavier than a wagon which is already 150lbs heavier than the sedan...) with just enough added utility.

Wagon>Sedan. The GT isn't even on the list.
