Talking M-Sport Steering Wheel? Can you retrofit in a normal non-M-Sport 335i?

I really love the M-sport steering wheel with 3 spokes. The supplied steering wheel in my car looks like a fricking dinner plate. Dislike the design very much.

Question is whether it would be easy to retrofit my 2012 F30 335i with the M-sport one...has anyone done it?

I wouldn't think it would be terribly difficult, but it WOULD be incredibly expensive, largely because your current airbag won't fit and you'd have to buy a new one. Maybe somewhere in the $2500 range? I think you'd be better off getting the M-performance wheel, which looks like (but please verify) it uses the same airbag as the stock "line" wheel. If so, you'd be out the door for $800.

Sorry for digging up an old post, but is this what you're talking about?

Would it be a simple plug and play?

I checked it out with a vendor before I bought my M-Sport 335. It was around 1800 for the wheel and airbag.
