Glitch with MHD?
Sorry for the long book of a forum post.
I own a 2014 BMW 335i that's decently modified, including the new Spool FX-150, a single Walbro 450, a GFB DV+, and all the other bolt-ons. David Shoup tunes my car; I've been working with him for almost 2-years now. I've never had a better experience with anyone in the car community, and recommend him to anyone with a BMW that's looking to get tuned. Anyways, all of a sudden, my oil level sensor stopped working on the car. I would get an error when trying to measure that said: "oil level measurement inactive." My car is still under warranty, so I brought it in, and they replaced the oil level sensor, still no luck. They put an oscilloscope on the line going to the DME to check continuity; everything checked okay. They said I needed a new DME which warranty won't cover. So, I ended up sending my DME and FEM to get rebuilt, reprogrammed by Levan and BIMECU Solutions. He is accommodating and is still helping me with the issue. He shipped the DME and FEM back, I put the car back together, and everything worked. When I flashed MHD on the vehicle, it stopped working again. I tried to flash the car back to stock with MHD, and it still wouldn't work. Earlier today, Levan remotely programmed my DME, and it started working again. Has anyone had this issue before? I joined this group after some friends recommended I make a post, so here I am. I already emailed MHD and am awaiting a response. Thank you in advance! |

If you flash back to stock map does the issue fix itself?

He already said in his OP that "I tried to flash the car back to stock with MHD, and it still wouldn't work."
My follow up question would be - was this flashing to stage 0, or completely uninstalling MHD? I would try the latter as that completely removes the MHD software, as opposed to just changing the map. This should isolate MHD itself. |

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have seen something similar recently and would be interested to know what the true cause/fix is? The guy I use for coding simply re-coded the necessary element via e-sys to bring back the oil measurement (with MHD still installed) but it would be useful to know if there is a way to prevent it from occurring in the first place.
