Primary Start Meeting Location:
The Veneto Club – 191 Bulleen Road, Bulleen VIC 3105

Secondary Start Meeting Location;
Tao’s Restaurant – 201 Bulleen Road, Bulleen VIC 3105

Please note we have two locations as the Veneto Club sometimes closes off its carpark in the morning. If it does please drive another 200m up the road and meet in the Tao’s Restaurant Carpark

In total the drive should be roughly 45 minutes each way when keeping within speed limits.

I do acknowledge your personal best times might be better than 45 minutes but please remember this is a Day Cruise and the aim is for a relaxing drive - not to set any time attack records. Not that I would know anything about setting time attack records in Kinglake…. Just saying…

I used to cruise a fair bit with other cars and would suggest maybe king lake drive in morning one day.

I'm normally a weekend person (working during the week), however I have taken 3 weeks off work to stare/enjoy/mod my new beast in august, so I am available almost anytime.

Good we have some interest!

I propose we find a Sunday morning in August to do the cruise as it usually suits everyone's schedule whether they're working full time or still studying. The other part is that Sunday traffic tends to be good for a cruise at sensible, legal speeds.


So at the moment we have;

3. Ghettodefendant
4. J1N + friends

We'll get a few more whilst we decide what to do but probably won't want more than 10 as in my experience it gets pretty hard for such a big group.

How does this sound;

1. Meet at Bulleen RSL Club (just near the freeway Bulleen Exit) as they have a massive publci carpark
2. DRive towards Warrandyte / Kangaroo Grounds
3. Take the King Lake to Yarra Glen route past the Sugarloaf reservoir C726
4. Stop at Yarra Glen - have some food? I'm fairly sure there's a cafe of some sort there
5. Photos, talk, go home

For those that don't know C726 is an awesome drive, with challenging roads and corners all the way through. Its dual lane and cuts through a quarry with 45 corners overlooking blackened bushland burnt out a few years ago in the black saturday bushfires.

Average speed limit is about 60kmph to 80kmph and we don't to exceed legal limits for a entertaining drive.

Sounds good. It has been years since I have been up that way. I vote for the 25th August. That should give us time to get a few more people, and allow us to plan around this day to ensure we don't miss it.

Wrx sti and s15 Silvia with mccr

Other track days and drift days and drag days

Also owned a n Integra, Clio, e90 and s2000

Depend what car you are driving? j/k ...I guess if you come as a passenger it kind of defeat the fun purpose of the cruise, urm... might take my old man 118i out instead
