MSport all day. You can always tune the engine later.

OK. What kind of sportiness will I miss with the Lounge version ?
Is "adaptive suspension" that useful ? Will my ride be too soft (read much body roll) ? I also understand I will be able to get the "401" 19'' wheels only, which are not the best looking though... What's more they cost a lot (1500 eur). I don't need gps nor fancy electronics, nor aluminium inserts, ... Will I see that big a difference in terms of performance between the 428i & the 420i ? |

Many people do that indeed. But are the brakes / clutch / ... really suited for that 60-70 HP increase ?

I'm not sure. I have a 335, but I would prefer a 320 MSport over a 328 non-MSport. I plan on installing the MPPK soon, but that is covered under warranty.

Drive both and I think you'll find the decision far easier. For me it's about the entire experience, not just what happens when I hit the throttle, which is why I am prepared to compromise a little on the engine in favour of a properly loaded car.
That said, there is a world of difference between the 420i and 428i (much more so than between, say, the 428i and the 435i) so I think you need to try both. You may find that, with so much extra performance, you care far less about the vehicles exterior trim. Having said all that, I think M Sport makes the 4 series look fantastic and I wouldn't have ordered mine without it. |

M Sport definitely, I've driven both and the power difference isn't that massive as some might suggest especially in real life every day driving. The 335i is a different league just like the 6cylinder diesel to the 4pot(I've driven those as well).Hardly ever could enjoy anything more powerful engine but the look(interior+exterior) is important for the everyday experience. You can still have plenty of fun in the 320i, I had 3liter 6pot diesel m sport e90 prior to my current car and I don't regret the change. A 335i m sport would be nice one day thought
