PTFE yes, as some waxes and I believe sealants have a high content of PTFE.

However not heard of actual sealed with Teflon.

Mrs Nick the Greek has some pans coated in it.

I was at sainsburys today and when I came out to get in the car a guy said I like your wheels I refurbish wheels for a living, as we got chatting he seems to think the 403 19s are painted and would be a good idea to Teflon coat and save the brake dust, £25 a wheel and no need to take the tyres of, is it a spray or wax type thing ??

Sounds sus, did he also do driveways as well?

Speak with a sort of irish accent?

Have some seeds for sale?

If anything putting Gtechniq on them is best way.

Next best in my opinion is Swissvax Autobahn wax, it's very high in PTFE and handles high temps.

seeing a decent detailer is best way.

Swissvax Autobahn contains PTFE. Works really well and makes cleaning easier.

If you're after a wax/paste type product then Finish Kare #1000P Hi Temp Sealant, cheaper, very highly rated, probaly more so than SV Autobahn, plus you can use FK1000p on you paint work making it a more versatile product.

I use both FK1000p and autobahn.

The autobahn lasts longer and does shed muck better.

I have however got FK1000P on exhaust tips and blue calipers.

For the price though, you can't go wrong with FK1000P as you said, it will do everything apart from tyres and glass.

FK's been around some time now, I prefer carpro Dlux myself. I've been using it around 18months, wheels, brake calipers, plastic trim, it's amzing how far a little bottle like that goes.

Agree re FK1000P......and you could even use it on the side/rear glass outside if you wanted .....just not the windscreen.
