N20 320I engine oil liqui moly

there's a couple of liqui moly variants

can anyone that has experienced them give any insight?

molygem vs Leichtlauf high tec vs top tec

and also regarding viscosity, 5w30 or 5w40? I've been running 5w40 because im from Singapore and the weather is always hot 30+ degrees celcius so I assumed a 5w40 would work better

I've used Molygen 5w-30, I'll be using it again with my next oil change. In your climate I'd use 5w-40.

I've been running Moly-Gen 5W-40 here in Central FL. for several years Very happy with it- so far. Will be doing an oil analysis at the next Oil change.

someone just mentioned to me that the molygen and 4100 toptec does not have BMW longlife approval.

which I then confirmed.

is that really important?

It's not. LL isn't an oil industry designation, it's a BMW designation. However, Molygen 5w-40 is LL 01 approved.
