I left my lights on for 4 hours

I fell asleep inside the car during the night, and I had the lights ON for 4 hours. My BMW can start, but... What damage did i do to my battery? Should I worry?

Which Lights Specifically? I don't think you should Worry as long as The Car can Start and is Working just fine!

None.

Only if it wouldn't start. The power management system should turn off the lights before the battery drains to the point that it won't start.

Take a long drive to charge the battery. If you're that worried go to an auto parts store. They'll usually check the battery for free. Takes 5 mins

I'll play music at a high volumes with the DRLs on for hours at a time when I'm hanging outside. Always starts up every time with no issue. Everyone always asks "isn't your battery gonna die?" typically respond with "nah, not the ultimate driving machine."

I've left the parking lights on one night... all night long. car started right up but said battery low but that went away after driving a little bit.

i dont know why these cars dont cut off. i know other cars ive had turn everything off "battery saver" after 10 or 30 min or something.

that stinks dude...but dont worry, your battery is completely fine. Drive around a litte to recharge it. The cool thing about our bimmers is that if...you lock it (arm it)...then the alarm turns off all the lights in the interior and etc. Very intuitive.
