Dealer says if I do app now on ordered car I'm locked into Aprils rates... true?
As title says.
My dealer says they are ordering my car, finding first next avail in their bank. He said if I do application now, and they put name on that car, that I am locked into April's rates, but if Mays are better they would give me that instead. No games, .0013 MF and signf. discount... but I had ordered a Mercedes and this was not like that. Mercedes was whenever you took delivery, those were the rates you used at time of delivery NOT when you ordered. Any help here? |

Yes, you are locked in for 60 days, at the current rate, if next month is better than you do the app again and get better rate, 60 days starts again.
90 days if your car is coming through the west coast

Thanks guys!
If I am in NJ - 60 days should get me the car if they are putting me in a slot to be built as soon as possible (I HOPE), as I have no car as of Tuesday lol. Also when doing a credit app... if I had to do another 1, are these soft or hard inquiries? I wouldn't want to keep having my credit ran Lastly, is a NJ built car coming with N20 or N26 motor? |

pretty sure you will have the N20. As long as production starts in the next week or 2, you should be ok getting it within 60 days. takes about a week to produce, about 2 weeks after production you are on a boat, about 3 weeks to cross and another week to your dealer, those are conservative numbers. car could wait a while for a boat.
