7 days before delivery and a monkey wrench thrown in....HELP!!!

So in 7 days I am slated to take possesion of a mineral gray with coral red 335 xdrive M sport sedan. Option include premium package which is navigation, comfort access, harmon kardon etc., VSS, M adaptive susp, 19" 403M wheels, Sirius radio, front and back park distance control and M blue brakes. I plan on adding the M aerodynamic kit with carbon spoiler at a cost of about 2k on this car at delivery.

I get a call yesterday offering me a Glacier Silver 335 xdrive Msport sedan with black interior and premium package with front and back park distance control. Missing the Variable sport steering, M adaptive susp. and Sirius BUT this car also has:

M aerodynamic kit
M performance brakes with red calipers
M performance carbon mirror caps
20" wheels and tire upgrade
M performance interior carbon fiber trim
19" 403M wheels thrown in with new winter tires
Tinted windows

Difference in price is approx $100 a month for the Glacier over 48 month lease so about 5k.

Need to decide today.

Thoughts?

Glacier

Mineral

I'd stick with the Mineral Gray... one regret I have on my sport line is not getting the M adaptive suspension, wife complains that the sport suspension is too rough now

Also, there's nothing quite like getting that car that you ordered for yourself!

And finally, I am a fan of putting mods on a while after getting the car... It's almost like another fun process of getting new clothes or shoes... not sure if that's something to consider as well.

Can't really go wrong either way.

my opinion is i'd stick with what you ordered. I am not crazy about 20'' and the price difference you're paying/getting/ isn't a no brainer for me. It's not bad for what you get (brakes, body kit, etc etc wheels for 5k) but it's not perfect either.

Keep in mind that the xdrive m-sport won't have any kind of performance suspension upgrade over baseline, so IMO getting DHP is a must. I agree with the others that you should probably stick with your order *unless* you plan on modding the suspension - but you might not want to with a leased car (xdrive also doesn't have very many viable aftermarket options).

The mineral gray looks solid. I would stick with it.

Stick with what you ordered...I have Mineral Gray with Coral Red, Premium, DHP, and it's my favorite 3-series out of the 4 that I've owned.

Stick with the mineral gray. Much of that money extra goes towards 20" wheels, not really worth it.

You can buy all of the things the silver cars has at discount, meanwhile you cannot add DHP.

Kind of a no brainer. If you were months out from your order and in a bind maybe, but 7 days? Nah.

I'm with the others. Stick with your original car. The 20's are a waste and will ride harsher than the 19's, especially without the DHP. DHP is required IMO on an xDrive car.

+1. I got the 19 nad they are harsh already, so 20 will be worst. Plus the Coral Red is sweet, stick to your order.

How the hell are people getting M-Performance brakes?
EDIT: Never mind he's in Canadia.....

I say keep what you ordered since that was your initial preference and you may regret changing it up 7 DAYS before you would get your order. And like other's have said, those 20" wheels are quite large and will adversely affect ride quality (Though, I do not speak from experience).
Just ask yourself which vehicle will get you the most utility “utils” and go with that! We can’t answer that for you as the utils for this situation may be different from person to person.
If you don’t know what utils are…linky here

Just my thoughts.

keep the DHP.
It puts me to regret that I don't have it on my xDrive.

The M Performance Brake package is worth the change IMO, but it's a tough call since suspension choices are different.

Just realized it's xDrive, so probably won't have the M performance Suspension as an option, DHP is a must IMO.

Whatever you decide, GET THE PPK at port. It's amazing...

He's in Canada, where the m-sport brake upgrade is only a $500 option. Not sure if this is port or factory installed...

I see that you're in Montreal (my hometown). Are you sure you want 19" rims in Mtl? If so, I'd seriously consider wheel and tire insurance. That inch of sidewall isn't going to save your rims from one of Montreal's patented potholes. Just my opinion.

Hey Dinh335, you have an RX8?! That's a sweet handling car--a classic IMO. Can't believe Mazda stopped producing them.

(thread jack alert) yes, rx8 it's a fantastic car. still prefer it over the f30 in many ways. fuel economy sucks but a true drivers car.

okay back to regular thread

It isn't, you are correct. I BELIEVE the rotors are different in the front, and much larger in the rear.
