Gtechniq C5 results lasted only 24 hrs

So I applied Gtechniq C5 to my 405's over the weekend and I was greatly impressed.

However 24 hrs later when I tried spraying them with a little water it just clumped up and hardly beaded.. has anyone faced this issue with the product before?

I thoroughly cleaned each wheel before application (pre wash, wash, soft wheel cleaner & iron-x).

I appreciate that there's areas that kind of bead up but to say that was 48 hours after I had applied it, it's pretty poor imo.

Yep I agree, that's disappointing. You'd expect beading for sure

Second attempt:

I went as far as borrowing a second jack and some jack stands - lifted the car up and left all four wheels to bake in a warm room indoors for 12 hours after application (previously I parked the car up in the garage for around 10 hours). The results were actually a lot better, then after a week of sitting underground parked up I gave them a rinse and all of that work had gone again.

I bought the product from two different vendors so I can't put it down to a bad batch either - I'd personally now say save your money. £45 down the drain

How are you 'rinsing' them? I've got the same on my wheels and it works wonders, pretty much all muk gets shifted with a pressure washer and beading returns. For a proper clean, I use gtechniq W6 or Iron X and they come up as good as new.

Pressure washer. After the application the first wash works fantastically, but it's there after.

I had one of their reps get in touch and he's claiming I should have used polish on the wheels to definitely decontaminate them

At this stage I'm giving up, I've wasted cash on it and don't have any intentions on try it again myself.
