Faint High Pitched sound after tinting
Hey all!
So I had my tint removed and reapplied cause of a fix-it ticket, but when my car was returned, I drive off hearing nothing, but moments later, I hear some faint high pitched sound, I thought it was from outside so I ignored it, but after driving around my neighborhood, the sound remained. It sounds like a electronic beep, with randomized times it goes on and off, mostly around 1second on 1second off, but sometimes with short pulses of beeps as well. The pitch is around 16k to 17k hertz and the volume is pretty faint, about as quiet as dropping a bottle cap into the cup holder. I could barely catch the sound with music on at around 70%. I don't hear the sound every time I have my car on, but maybe 2/3rds the time, so I can't be sure this came from the tint shop. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks, Victor

It doesnt seem to affect the car in any way so my conclusions are: The FOB sensor, when i moved the key closer in it started beeping inconsistently. Radiator valve or AC compressor making funny noises Some kind of electronic valve or the ventilation timer |

Its not the tint. Its some part related to the AC system. Next time you hear it turn on your AC it will go away. I haven't figured out what exact part it is but at least that's a bit of a work around.

Are the voices in your head telling you what ear is detecting 16k to 17k hertz ???? sorry just had to bust your balls too. very strange but don't see how window tint has anything to do with it.

I don't think it's the window tint, but I'm wondering if the tint shop could have changed something. It sounds like a constant tone.
Koer - do you hear the sound from outside?

Thanks everyone! The sound is from the AC system, I noticed I always had my AC on, until the tint shop turned it off. I feel relieved!
