340i ... 3 months in
So the honeymoon period has past. I still love this car.!!
Its such a smooth and pretty refined daily driver then stick it in sports mode it can be mental quick! The iDrive with Pro Nav and connected drive features such as send maps to car are now absolute must haves for me, I couldn't live without this in the next car. The only things that niggles at me are the days where I pass a 440i GC .. still looks a bit more special or an M3. Also the exhaust sound from the inside of the car feel pretty quiet but outside its nice.

Glad to hear that it doesn't disappoint! To me the 3 has grown up to become a competent all rounder with the ability to put a smile on your face while not making your family/passengers suffer for it.
Such glowing reviews from the 40i fraternity make waiting for a 66 plate so difficult. My car landed on Wednesday... Came off the transporter with a M2, that must be the most driver focused 2+ seater BMW do...

You could code up the active sound volumn if you want a louder engine "experience"

I'm going to be controversial here...but I think the F31 is by far and away the best looking F3x car that BMW do.
I've owned F30 330d in MG, F32 435i in Black Sapphire and F31 340i in EB2 - all M sport

Closely followed by the F30, then F31. (No need to carry extra weight around spoiling handling, performance and economy ) Call me old fashioned but you by an estate because you need to lug around more load, not for its looks. But each to our own, they are all great cars.

For me, when a user 'chooses' to keep a car full term, (3-years or more), that is testimony to the car pleasing the driver. |

paid of my 335d touring now and just planning the mods,rs suspension and power upgrade are first on my list, but the m140i has arrived at dealers so will get that sorted first, the touring still makes me smile and its far from perfect but its such a good all rounder, have been looking at m6 and m5 but just hard to justify ,my mileage over 2 cars is 6k and its nice to actually own a car instead of just paying monthlies

Being honest, if I didn't have a 6 month old and the abundance of infrastructure that comes with her, I wouldn't have bought one either. But, I still think it's a great looking motor

The de-badged fast estate is a decent looker and real Q car. It is so much more unexpected than a fast Saloon or Coupe.
However, I am changing from a Saloon to a Touring out of necessity rather than an aesthetic driver. The pram and assorted baby clobber is challenging to load in the saloon...

Don't forget the dog.
I'd say that fast estates are, if anything, more common on the Continent. The Autobahn is full of fast Aldi avants.
