FYI, for all those interested in the Elbrus I08 wheels, I noticed they are currently on sale at tirerack. The only thing is that this price is only for the BRONZE wheels at 18".

If I didn't already have a set, I would have saved a pretty penny. Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know.

Cheers.

You mean this...

Used Rick955s M-Sport pick to alter the wheels.

P.S. Bronze could be off

Just updated the wheels to more closely match what it should look like.

I just threw some 225/40/19 Blizzak LM-60s on all 4 of my 403s. I stretched the rears to square the rubber on the road and so I can rotate the tires

It's been a beast in all the snow and ice I've faced here in upstate NY.

I need some feedback from those of you who have the Pirelli Sottozero tires. Can they still be used in dry conditions (maybe just wear faster) or are they strictly a dedicated winter tire? I was initially interested in the Nokia WRG2 all weather plus tire, but I belive it only comes in a non run flat version. My vehicle arrives in april and there will be slush/snow still on the roads, just exploring options at the moment to eliminate frequent tire change overs. Any feedback would be great.

Those Elbrus rims look awesome guys, might just have to invest in a set as well!

For those of you running the Elbrus 108 wheels, what finish did you purchase? Anthracite Mach w/ ice coating or the Anthracite ??

Would anyone be able to photoshop these wheels in either finish on a Black Saphire? I would greatly appreciate it

Rusty Winter Rotors!!!

Is anyone else having a wicked rust problem on their rotors? I mean, I park in my garage at 1700 and by 0530 the next morning, I'm rubbing rust off for a mile. This is parked INSIDE. And then at work, I park at about 0730 and even in an hour or two I get new rust on the damn rotors that lasts for a mile. I never had this problem on my E36...?

How's everyone fairing in the north east with their winter tires in the blizzard? So far my Xice Xi3's have been great.

Mine rust within hours even if it is from just washing the car. Any driving in the rain and the rust starts quickly. Comes off quickly after a few applications of the brakes. I guess it is just a high iron content. They are the M sport brakes that we can get here in Canada on order for an extra $350 which is a screaming good deal. The calipers are Brembos like the M performance parts - the rotors are larger diameter but aren't grooved and drilled like the M performance parts. Very dusty but great braking.

I can put up with the rusty rotors as long as they handle heat and don't warp. I hate warped rotors - had a problem with that on my Japanese and domestic cars. Many brake jobs! This is my first German car so I am hoping the autobahn experience makes for better brakes.
