My winter wheels & tires finally arrived from Tire Rack and given the weather I went ahead and had them put on. Went with the new BBS SR wheels 18 X 8 which come in a finish they call Anthracite. The tires are Blizzak WS-70. It's my first winter with RWD and wanted to make sure I can get around as needed.

I got a chuckle when the owner of the independent shop I use came out to tell me that's "the sickest set of winter wheels they've ever installed. BBS wheels for winter?" I had my last two cars for 8.5 and 10 years, so I figured who wants to look at cheap, ugly wheels half the year.

Looks sweet! Was thinking about going for antrachite or similar colour on my rims but was afraid it would look weird on imperial blue. But looks awesome on a black car!

Got word that my wheels where shipped today and I will have them installed in a week, will post pic then.

I love those BBS SR. Maybe I would have picked those up for my winter setup rather than my OZ Superturismos had they been available on tire rack when I purchased.

My first post! I've been reading up a lot over the past few months on the forums, which are an excellent resource. Picked up the car 2 weeks ago; coming from a 2010 GTI which I loved!

Here's a before and after (the after are 225/45 Michelin X-Ice Xi3's on some replica wheels.

Thanks guys - I'm not sure what brand the wheels are, but judging by the price of them, I'd say they are from Taiwan/China.

Same as last year, just lowered on H&R Sports. Pulls off the 17's much better.

What are your tire specs ? Seems like you're running too low of a profile or is it just an illusion ?
