Please help: no lumbar support in my new 428i!

I purchased M Sport Model with premium leather interior for my new 428i coupe. Unbeknownst to me, this does not include the integrated lumbar control feature. I have a terrible back and it's quite difficult for me to sit for prolong periods without this support. I'm interested in purchasing the necessary parts to upgrade my automatic driver's seat to include this feature. The dealership has been of no help at all. Any ideas? Can I purchase the lumbar support parts and have them installed? The driver seat is currently fully automated and has all the additional features except the lumbar support. Thanks for your help!

Did you get the premium package too? The lumbar support is listed there and I have it with my sport + premium seats.

I think you'd have a heck of a time trying to retrofit this into your seats as you'll have to install the control panel (assuming there's no knock out you'll have to cut it) and I don't even know how you'll take off the leather for the mechanicals.

I did not get the premium on top of the leather because dealer informed me there is already substantial lumbar support. That is not the case. This links has the parts but my dealer won't install them. Any thoughts?

I have a bad back as well. For this reason, I had lumbar support on my last two BMW's. But I wasn't willing pay the money for the premium package just to get it this time. So I was a bit concerned as to whether the sport seats in my 435i M-Sport would be a problem without it. What I found worked for me was to maximize the kidney grips on the seat (or backrest width) and I have not had a problem since.

If you search this forum, someone installed some kind of inflatable lumbar bladder thing into their seat. Seemed really happy with it.

there is always 1 tiny, but very important item that BMW forces you to buy the whole package for. Very aggravating. just like te whole premium for Xenons on the 328iwhen the F30 came out or Navigation for Bluetooth streaming.

Thanks for all your help...I can't believe how demoralizing this is. I love the car but I have to squish a towel behind me every time I drive it.
