New 340i in the family
We traded my wife's 2011 335i (crimson red E90) for a 2016 melbourne red 340i yesterday. My wife and I loved her E90, but the F30 makes parting much easier. The B58 and ZF combo feels fanstastic.
The car has M-sport, track handling, navigation, comfort plus, cold weather that I can recall off hand. The cameras, RTTI, lane departure, and blind spot monitoring are pretty slick. A crappy picture as we shut down the dealership last night. EDIT: She'll be "killing the game" soon enough if I can sneak some H&R springs and 15mm spacers on without her noticing hahaha. Even with m-sport suspension, it doesn't sit as nice as the sport E90. |

Yeah, I love this color! We looked at a White on Saddle special at another dealership in town, but I'm glad my wife couldn't stray from red. (White on saddle is one of my all time favorite BMW combos, but I like the red better on the F30).
I want to add a front chin spoiler, but that's too obvious to fly under the radar with my wife's "no modding my car" policy. |

Sweet! That car looks great! So...about those spacers. Are there any major reasons for concern to add them? I've thought about it but have never pulled the trigger. I'm not a big "mod" guy but spacers are the one mod that continually peak my interest?

Thanks for all the comments. Planning to clay bar and seal it next weekend and will get some better pictures. The car is a blast so far! I love the variable steering. In sport it is just as firm as her 335i was and provides nearly as good feedback. In comfort it makes low speed maneuvering and parking much less irritating than her 335i was.
I drive a Ram at the moment. Usually get something new every couple of years. |
