Finally! A Top Coilover Option for the F30
FINALLY! A top quality coilover manufacturer, TC Kline Racing, has released single and double adjustable coilovers for the F30 which includes camber plates: http://www.tcklineracing.com/index.c...y&Category=796
Unlike other coilover options out there, these are based on linear springs rather than progressive springs. (Please note I think KW makes a very nice product but they have progressive springs until you get to their Club Sports, which are not out yet. All things equal, liner springs are much better for handling than progressive springs.) I just wish these came out at the beginning of the summer, rather than the end. TC Kline has an outstanding reputation in the BMW community for producing quality, reliable, and well-sorted coilovers for our cars. The owner usually does a tremendous amount of R&D before releasing his products, both on the street and track. I must now decide whether to get these now or wait until Spring when there should be even more options. In either event, you can't go wrong with this product.

These aren't for people who just want adjustable suspension in order to get a "perfect tuck" so they can have their amatueur friend with a DSLR take sick shots in an industrial park. They're actually for racing. $3k is slightly below market average for proper double-adjustables.
Great find. |

Sweet. Good to see that more options are on the horizon.
In terms of spring rates, 3k front + 7k rear sound mighty soft. I'm running Swift linear springs at 6k front + 10k rear and it can get super soft if I set the dampers to it's softest. Those camber plates don't look like they're too adjustable. It looks like you only have two settings. Also, I've never noticed this before, but it looks like the top hat mounting points aren't symmetrical on the F30. I've taken them on and off a million times and I never noticed that. 3k is definitely not cheap, just not something I'd buy. |

If I buy..
I had my car without DHP, this! Would be my suspension on the car. No questions to ask, simply the best for the money.

I stated this in this thread too --> http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=800665
We just wanted to point out that we were testing our 'prototype' Double Adjustable Coilover suspension camber plates at Oktoberfest last year at Mid Ohio. This year we were testing the 'production' Double Adjustable Coilovers with camber plates at Oktoberfest at Laguna Seca, and the whole kit feels fantastic!! Again, we have been testing for over a year now with these pieces and we are totally satisfied!! As stated by others, we only produce the best parts possible, and feel totally confident in their performance. Thank you. |
