iPhone 5s /w latest iOS no text messages

Couldn't find anything on the forums but my iPhone 5s doesn't show text messages through iDrive. I can use all of the connected apps just fine. The "BMW Genius" didn't know why it wasn't working either. Any ideas?

Settings / bluetooth / under "my devices" select the blue I with a circle around it for the entry for your BMW. Ensure "show notifications" is turned on.

This should correct the issue. If not, delete the pairing from car and phone and then setup again.

So turns out I don't have the option for show notifications even after pairing again. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. Turns out i don't have 'Office' coded (which is apparently standard on late 2014 models). I will probably just code it myself when I get around to purchasing a cable.

What do you mean? My vehicle is a 2015 do you think that would affect me as well? I don't know what having office coded means.

He means he did not have the option that allows the Office integration. "Coding" is essentially hacking the car to allow certain features disabled by BMW. In some cases, certain options that you didn't have/didn't pay for can be turned on.

Can you show a screenshot of your phone after you hit the "i" button on your BMW Bluetooth connection?
