Pricing/Config for 320d or 328d ?
I am desperately waiting for official word of the 320d xDrive (for NA) and can't wait to configure it on bmwusa (or 328d). Any idea when that will occur?

you and me both!
I already know what I want. Alpine white Sport Line (or Msport if available) Coral Red Leather (please make this available) Tech Pack Premium Pack heated front seat Premium Sound Paddle shifters Adaptive suspension (if available) European Delivery would be ideal. RWD would be more ideal but I can settle for AWD. Seeing that production starts in July, I'm betting we'll get a configurator around June and pricing around late May. |

it's quite painful knowing they won't be bringing a manual transmission. there might be more info at the canadian auto show here in toronto this coming friday since they showed the diesel in montreal already.

I'm just happy that there's a wagon and that it's a diesel (4cyl too!). I'd prefer the RWD option before the 6MT. The auto will be more fuel efficient. |

in europe the 320d, which is going to be rebadged the 328d in NA, is 2100 euro or 2900 dollars cheaper than the comparable 328i. i fully expect bmw to totally screw us on pricing. i.e. they are going to price it like a 328i. brace yourselves people. (you are also dreaming about getting a MT with this car. what a shame!)

I didn't know that. Good point to keep in mind. I was checking bmw Germany's web site for the price points. i can't tell if it comes with the urea filtration system in germany. That's going to make this car 46k to start here in Canada.

i just got back from the canadian auto show. the 3 series diesel was there. none of the bmw reps seem to have any idea what the car was except one. he said it's going to be a rebadged 320d. then he said he thought it would have a premium of 3-4 over the regular gas version and i asked if he meant the 328i and he said no the 320i. the 320i xdrive is coming soon at around 39k so my guess would be 43-44k for the 328d xdrive. (the 328i xdrive is 46k) having said that, one of the bmw sales people said 55-60k. i'm not sure why they bring a car to a major show without briefing their reps.

My SA emailed me to let me know that the 4 cylinder diesel will be available in the US sometime around August. No word on pricing. However, knowing my 335d was 44k, justifying 44k for a rebadged slower 320d may be hard to do.

I was talking about Canadian dollars. Also, We will only be getting the xdrive version and our base cars are all pretty loaded including heated seats sunroof leather hids etc. as a baseline the 328i xdrive is 46k up here. We won't be getting a rwd version or a manual transmission from what I've been told. The lack of manual might kill this for me though.
