Cruise Control not working after ECU FW update

All,

I've not looked a great deal into this yet, so apologies if it's already been covered...

I updated several components of ECU firmware over the weekend, including KOMBI but now my cruise control doesn't seem to work...

Pressing the button says its activated but once you try and set a speed it says failed to initiate. When you press the LIM button it throws an error on the dash and to take it to BMW.

Is anyone aware of particular dependencies which may have caused this or which module/ECU that controls the cruise as a starter for 10?

Nick

I have been in the same issue, thy advised me to flash dependent ECUs to a newer Istep, they say it happens when there is big difference in Istep

I assume there is no harm in updating all ECU's (one-by-one) to the newest firmware.

I don't suppose you know which ECU in particular is likely to be the culprit?

Updating the remaining ECU's thus increasing the iStep fixed the issue
