(UK) Putting number plate on lower front grille?

Saw a bmw today with the numberplate on the lower front grille think it looked pretty neat!, wondering If I can do this too or would it be blocking airflow? placing numberplate in the yellow dotted box in photo.

my car is a 2018 340i.

It would block air flow.

At least your plates are often stuck on with double-sided tape vs. requiring holes to be drilled in the bumper cover! I used the Skene Design bracket to avoid the obvious holes - could work for you:

If I got the car brand new, I'd of said that I'll attach the front plate as I wouldn't want the front bumper drilled. heavy duty velcro pads would be my way.

but yeah I just wanted too see if moving the plate to the lower grille would be possible since it looked pretty slik.

Is your plate stuck directly onto your bumper?
My plate is stuck to a plastic mounting bracket.
I was wondering if anyone knew what this mounting bracket was fixed to the car by - it has been on the car from new - UK car.

Sounds like double stick tape if you cannot eye a bracket holding it on. If you have some WD40 and a plastic spatula, you might be able to *GENTLY* pry it away.

if the plate is on a mounting bracket, its more than likely been screwed into the bumper like most dealers do.

best part is taking of the bracket and finding the 100 drill holes where they messed up aligning it the first 99 times.
