Hi people,
I've just installed my injen intake for my 328.
I'm from Australia so I believe we have n20 engines.
During the installation I couldnt find the vacume hose the picture was showing.
The package also has a little hose cap which looks like its for the vacume hose adapter if there's no hose need to connect to it. Can anyone confirm this for me?
I had a test drive after the installation and everything seems to be fine.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a 320i with the N26 and I do not have a vacuum hose, if you read the installation guide from injen it says that if you do not have a vacuum hose, use the cap provided.

I already have 2,000 miles with the intake and no problems at all… Enjoy it!

Thanks for the help. I think this confirms I don't have one.

I just installed my Injen this weekend and I have the N20 and no vacuum hose so don't worry. Just put the plastic cap on it that comes with the kit. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping it would wake up this silent motor. Several other members mentioned they did not like it because it was too loud. WTF do they have dog ears?? Barely increased the noise. Mostly only noticeable when you first slam the gas but not much under normal driving..

Tinkering is still there. I can't see how that will go away because that is what all direct injected engines sound like. The injen sounds good as well, just I was expecting a much louder sound because one guy said he wanted to sell his because it was too loud. Now I know the guy is just BS'ing. I heard the AFE is quieter than the Injen. Any quieter it would be stock. LOL...

I think it depends on what you are looking for… I love the sound of my injen intake!

I also have the BMS stage 1 installed and a magna flow axle back, some weeks ago I had to remove the tune and noticed that without it the sound of the intake and the exhaust decreased considerably… Maybe thats the reason why some people find it noisy.

the afe is quieter !! I thought injen only looks better, I have the st.2, afe dp & AA axle back the car is quit disturbing with a lot of base but no sound coming from engine at all and I still hear the tinkering noise on idle
maybe try removing that cover it will be louder

OK you have a lot more than me. I just have the stage 1 with intake and no other mods. Been dwelling on a axle back but afraid all the ones I have heard on you tube sound "ricey" with the N20. Did you have a chance to listen to your exhaust without the dp or was that all done at once? I like AA but when they posted that clip I was not that impressed with the sound. I want something deeper toned but smooth. Afraid with a 4c that might be impossible..LOL..

umm no I installed the downpipe first with the st.2 then after 3k miles the muffler was installed, Honestly it might be too loud for some with both combination because both are cateless but still I don't mind loudness as long as it sounds very good, which does.. as for AA alone i really don't know but i would recommend going for eisnmann if you are after a quality axle back. still if I'm going to pay 2000 for axle back I'd pay 2500 for the meisterschaft which is my target lol but i was on a budget.. I'll post the vids of my car g hope it helps for your decision.

i agree with u. I don't think it's loud. May be because our turbo is small

Rusty is that the video cutting out or does it gurgle like that? I am trying to avoid the gurgling/bubbling type sound.

No the video is not cutting, all the aftermarket exhaust have this burble but it differs, mine is a bit loud because of the dp, I noticed with RON92 it does have this loud pop but with RON95 it's much less.. weird

I've got catless dp as well with mpe. It's really loud but I like it.
I thought 95 will give more pop as its higher rating fuel... Funny

Thinking about putting my intake up for sale so I can put that towards the M-sport front conversion. Going to mull over it the weekend.
