JB4 Maps
I have seen the information I am asking in bits and pieces all over pertaining to the different maps and there purpose. I tried searching briefly and didn't come up with anything that was recent.
I just installed the JB4 today and would like a better understanding. I'm sure this information would be better focused at Terry but thought the information being posted here and consolidated would be great. Map 0: JB4 disabled. - I don't understand the difference with map 0, 3 and 4 Map 1: Peak boost 20psi, suitable for most racing applications - Would this be for completely stock? I ask cause I am stock at the moment Map 2: Peak boost 21psi, suggested for those using exhaust modifications and 93 RM2 octane or higher fuels -This is the map I will be running when I get my downpipe install...hopefully this weekend! Map 3: Disabled - See map 0 Map 4: Stock performance, JB4 on - See map 0 Map 5: 320i/520i map. Peak boost 17psi. - I understand this one Map 6: User definable map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only. - I understand this one Map 7: Race gas map. Peak boost 23psi. This is a fairly aggressive map and increases engine damage risk. Use with caution. - I will be using this map when I run an e85 mix w/downpipe only |
