F32 M sport style front bumper conversion from sport line DIY

Hey guys!

I wanted to share my latest DIY project, changing my sport line bumper to the M Sport style bumper from Pro Auto Motion.

**Full disclosure** I worked with Bryan and Bihan of Pro Auto Motion, and Cody of Collision Specialists (my paint shop in Tacoma WA) on this project.

All in all this was really easy, and more time consuming than anything else. You only need a few simple tools and the time and space to get it down. Also, you could likely skip the fitment stage that I did, to make sure it would fit properly and save yourself that time. I wanted to show the full process though so documented that extra step.

This really looks great.. and I just grin every time I walk up on my car now with this new bumper! I will also (very very likely) do the side rockers and rear bumper conversion, but this was the first step for me.

Any questions give me a shout, and the quality here is just great!

Nice! The difference in looks is night and day

Curious How much did the paint job cost if you don't mind?

the bids I got local ranged from $300 to a ridiculous $1200.

Are the side skirts really even that necessary? Especially for the F32, the difference is such a minor crease. I'm personally getting ready to do an M sport front bumper conversion on my F30, and possibly eventually the rear bumper, but considering the cost of the side skirts themselves plus the painting, it's difficult for me to justify spending several hundred on such a minor detail. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise the bumper looks incredible.

you are correct in that the skirts are a small change for sure.. I want to complete the whole kit though. 8)

I agree. iliamerk it's a small change for sure but it really completes the look. The stock sides are flat vs the sport sides. But we all value different things so I can appreciate you wanting to spend that on something else instead.
