The 2.0T isn't exactly quiet. Don't think they'd really need one. The 3.0T is only mildly quieter.

AFAIK, no, the F30 doesn't have such a system. Unfortunately - I think the N20 engine noise is too quiet.

The f30 335i does not and IMO the engine sounds amazing. especially at full swing.

I don't know what all the fuzz is about now?!

It isn't even news that the M135i has it as BMW said so when it was released. Talk about making a story about NOTHING.

Real OEM does not have one listed for the 335i or 328i.

it doesn't. and thank god, I LOVE the sound of my F30 at WOT.

And with the Performance Exhaust, I love the low rumble at 1800-2200rpm on the highway. I actually drive slower so I can enjoy it. it's weird, I know.

But I'm weird about this car, I'm staring at it right now from my 3rd floor bay window, and deliberately park it outside for that reason...what has BMW done to me. #firstbmw

Thank god, no it doesn't! A fake engine noise coming from a speaker... this has to be one of the lamest car technologies out there. What a shame that BMW fell for that one, and very unexpected on M cars! It really dilutes the brand.

I wish the f30 had a sound symposer. If i could install an aftermarket one i would, does such a thing exist???
I test drove a m135i prior to buying my 335. I loved the sound and was assured by the lying sales rep that the f30 sounded exactly the same.
Well, all i can say is what a disappointment.
Seriously, this car produces a whining, metallic sound with no character that makes me cringe every time i go over 4k rpm. I have the MPE but that makes NO difference to what you hear in the cabin. Sounds good outside so i'm told, but i can't hear that..

The hashtag thing has kind of turned into a figure of speech, it's difficult to explain it's meaning outside of twitter but I do find myself even using it in real life speech every once in a great white. #GoNinersTomorrow

I agree with the high pitched engine whining that could be heard from the cabin above 4k rpm. It actually kind of annoys me because it sounds much like a motor that's being revved too high and about to blow. I also agree with others when they say the car sounds great on the outside. All you need to do is roll down your windows and can immediately hear the nice exhaust note over the high pitched cabin whine, this of course comes with a lot wind noise as well but you get the idea. As for the sound symposers; as much as I hate the engine whine, I would never buy into something as [in my opinion] tacky as that.
