With the e92 330d v's 335d it was and in some instances bigger than initial price.. plus the purchase price should be a bit closer since a couple of hundred extra pounds should be available discount wise. |

F10 530d sDrive M Sport Saloon = £44,125 F10 535d sDrive M Sport Saloon = £48,105 Difference in Price = £3980 + £1590 extra for xDrive = £5570 Oh dear, I must be very wrong! But even with your figures the 335d xDrive will be £3590 more than the 330d sDrive.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they tend to release lower to higher in terms of desirability. This means that when you're buying second hand the more desirable cars hold their value better over a longer period..

There may be extra spec and equipment for the 335d. This was the case for the 335d as it gained sports suspension, sports seats etc on the 335d SE which the 330d SE did not have as standard.
Anyway ......... just drive a 335d and you will be impressed and thats based on the 286bhp engine in the E9X. The 313 in the F30/31 will be spectacular as it knocks over a second off the 0-60 time and has the excellent 8 speed box. |

335d has twin turbo system, two less complex turbo's. 330D has a single VTN turbo. In terms of actual cost to manufacture, not much in it. |

A £3980 difference between 530 > 535 , they dont sell them in xDrive so you cant bend your figures to suit!! It's like saying the 535d is £6k dearer than a 530d because it has xdrive & pro media I was originally referring to the E60 model (which i owned several) the circa £4k jump a model.. but seems to have kept the same scale on the F10 Last edited by Irnbrukid; 05-08-2013 at 04:36 PM.. |

Yes thats what i was getting at that last 330d's in the E9* range used the N57 block.. but the 335d didnt use that block, so was i right enough.. they're not all the same engines.. just with different turbo set-up as you said.

330D xDrive vs. 335D xDrive will have virtually same cost difference as 330D sDrive vs. 335D sDrive. I am not comparing 330D sDrive to 335D xDrive. All I'm interested in the the cost increase for the 335D engine over the exact same sDrive. |

Its just people trying to be an arse saying its £4k.. but fail to acknowledge theyre are not comparable cars.. i.e. one has xDrive. The proof will be in the pudding as they say I reckon it will be about £39,995-£40,295 otr |
