Order at 150% Complete?

Just talked to my BMW SA checking on my order, and he said that my car was 150% Complete, No Chassis Number as yet.

He said that at 180% it is fully complete?

How long does it take to reach 180% from 150%?

Wow, all my life I thought that 100% was it! I don't know what 150 and 180% means, but once the car goes into production, it usually takes about a 1 week to complete. Then it usually waits at the port for another week or so for a vessel.

Hmmmm...........I have no idea. Maybe its waiting on parts?

I will check with him next week and see if the status changes.

He was referring to a status code, not %.

Ok, cool, now that makes more sense! So when reaching production (which is stage 150) it usually takes about a week to go through, and another week or so waiting on a vessel, we could approximate the time of sailing around the second or third week in August then?

My car was never completed. To this day a year later it's still showing as not completed.

My status is still at "Finishing Touches" and has been since I took delivery 2 years and 34K miles ago.

Does that mean the warranty period hasn't started yet?

For my past 3 custom order BMWs, I got my VIN at 0% before they even starting building it. Sounds like you have a messed up in the head dealer.
