I believe It was also running on pilot sport cup tires.

Yes, if it is the latest Z06.

However, the short distance is primarily a function of suspension geometry and component quality (anti-dive characteristics, etc.), low weight, EBD, etc.

Tires are however the cheapest, most effective upgrade for performance and handling.

Any one considering the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup be aware that the tread depth is only 6/32", less than half that of a conventional tire. Even if there is a fitment, you will be buying a lot of them for the street based on this and the quick wear. I get a good deal less than 10,000 miles per tire set on my Z06 on the street. On the track, tires, rotors and pads are disposable items.

While complete and ridiculous overkill, it would be amusing to try.

I change my OEM Run flat Pirelli Cinturato P7 tire with Continental Sport Contact 5P (non run flat)
I hope this would improve braking, handling and comfort (due to non run flat)
P7 is all round tire with low rolling resistance and long life thread, while CSC 5P is ultra high performance tire used by many supercar
