I had a set of Depos on my old E81 118d and the beam pattern was terrible. From that video, it looks like they've made some positive changes to the projector unit within the headlamp unit. I eventually changed the projector unit to one of the Morimoto units from the States with a bit of tweaking.
Also, from that video I would definitely say that's Bi-Xenon. You can see the cut off line on the left handside flip up when full beam is on.

I knew I wasn't seeing things! I definitely thought they were Bi-Xenon

which high beam bulb are you folks going for as they need to last o prevent bumper off job? i know jus71ns look great but a tad pricey for my liking considering they'll be used very rarely (flashing or extreme darkness) ?

I went for this https://www.powerbulbs.com/product/o...talife-h7-twin

It will last for years but it wouldn't look good compared to xenon dipped beam . I only use high beam for flashing other drivers only, so it doesn't matter to me how it looks..

I bought the H7 LED bulbs when Aaron first mentioned the group buy, They were going in the projector initially, But decided to go for 35w 5000k HID's instead, as it turns out they'll be perfect for the high beam due to the access problems (& the long life of LED), Maybe have a look around for cheaper H7 LED options as the lights will look fantastic, with the bright white Projector, halos & brow! it just wont look right flashing somebody and the yellow of a halogen 3200k bulb comes on.

Exactly my point @Jus71n I don't want to flash others with yellow light lol it is just wrong hehe. Have u used h7 led in new projector as low beam? I'm interested to see the result and I think it will be a perfect match with rings and eyebrows colour wise.i didn't think about this option before. If knew I'd have bought 2 pairs of h7 Philips led for both low/high beam.. xenon is great but really prefer colour of led.

would something like this be suitable? or is it just cheap and wont last v long.

the other Q would be do i need to do coding to use h7 LED for high beam to ensure no errors pop up?

@P1 PET can you drive your car up to a clear wall with the HIDs switched on and put your high beam on and off. We need to see this beam pattern

Theres a set on ebay (LOI rears) for £850 lol http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-BM...8AAOSwHMJYOCs9

I suspect that's a dealer type price.

Mine are in the attic for now, may sell them on later in the year.

Can you put H7 LED in projector lens to see the beam pattern and brightness of light output compared to xenon? I was waiting at the traffic light earlier and Audi (A3 i think) pull up next to me and his LED light is a lot brighter. I guess if you use H7 LED bulbs which have high lumens will definitely give a very noticeable brightness with nice cutoff line like OEM LED.

I've never used the high beam to drive on halogen headlights, only used to flash the drivers. If i can do that on halo, it shouldn't be a problem for me on this much improved headlights
