So what software is required? I take it that the same or similar boost will apply to 98RON (Shell V-Power) fuel, which is what I use.

Please advise. Thanks Mike.

Anyone done this? Sounds interesting.
If so, screenshot of software and adjustments please.
Thanks

There are always car to car variations as well. But one nice thing about the BMS Stage1 is it's also adjustable. So connect your laptop and bump the boost gain up to +4psi for a little more kick if you are on 93 octane. And +6psi if you are on racing fuel for a lot more kick.

Mike
I didn't know you could do that with stage 1! How do you do that mike?

Took my tune off a few days ago before I took my car to the dealer for an oil change. I realized, once again, that this tune makes a huge difference! Can't wait for stage 2!

Have any hidden codes come on that the dealer has noticed? How long have you had it for?

I've had the tune for a while now. I probably drove at least 8000 miles with the tune. Purchased it right when the tune came out of the "beta" phase. No hidden codes came up! All good.

And I've floored the pedal and redlined many many times. So if a code could have come up, it should have, but it didn't.

Just ordered my BMS! I can't wait to install it and do a 0-60 on it! SO far with my car stock the best time i got was 5.7. Not to forget the roads weren't soo well paved either. I will definitely do a 0-60 time with just the tune alone on my car. After all, thats all i will have on it

That's what I understood it to be, but according to Mike, boost can be upped from default of 3 to 4 for normal gas/petrol (93AKI or 98RON) and 6 for race gas.

When I found a screenshot of the interface, there were several adjustable fields, boost being one of them.

Perhaps Mike can confirm/elaborate.

I too saw a screenshot, but it was not in an n20 thread. Awaiting the same confirmation.

If I can raise boost for 93 now on stage 1 I will buy the $35 cable today lol.

Ditto. I am in Florida where we have 93 premium, and if I can bump up the boost for stage 1(and 2, when released) than I am all for it.

I thought the same thing, so i purchased the USB cable directly from BMS. Thinking i would be able to adjust the boost and what not. Now i feel like its just a waste of money

So what are Mike's comments relating to?
Mike, can you please elaborate.

Thanks

You can adjust boost... I believe +3PSI is the default.

Quote:
Just as an update for those of you using race gas, you may raise the boost limit up from the default +3psi to +6psi. You'll need to use your BMS USB cable and the Stage1 interface to make these changes.

I may of missed this else where, I have the N26 with the electronic wastegate and I remember seeing somewhere when you install the BMS you have to leave it unplugged? How is it going to control boost?

. Yes, I know I can adjust for race gas, but what about 93? Doesn't the 3psi cover the 93 already as the default.
