M Sport steering wheel vibration module

I have a F32 with M sport steering wheel and vibration module...

If I buy a 3rd party M sport steering wheel (alcantera, etc) can I move the vibration part over to new wheel?

Generally yes, just make sure the new wheel supports that feature.

Thanks. If the new wheel didn’t support mounting the module, technically I could just not connect it correct? I really don’t use the option. Just don’t want it throwing errors or something.

Should be able to. I know some people have run into issues going from a wheel with paddles to one without, it will throw error codes, but can be coded out via BimmerCode. I would assume the same can be done with the vibro module, but unfortunately neither my car nor the demo car that the app comes with has this feature.

Might want to pull up BimmerCode with your car to check. In the demo, the steering wheel paddle option comes up under front electronic module.

Does your car have one of the Driver Assistance packages with blind spot and lane departure warnings? These warnings use the vibration module in the steering wheel.

Yes my car currently has a M Sport steering wheel and only has blind spot detection. if trying to change lanes and something is in blind spot it will vibrate, but I DO NOT have lane departure warning.

I would assume I could take the vibrate module and put it in another M sport wheel, from pics it looks like it just mounts on lower section of T bar on wheel.

It looks like you left car has at least one option which uses vibration module. Just swap it and that's it!
