That's the image I found elsewhere.
Mike mentioned that 4psi boost will give 93AKI a kick, as I'm sure it would for 98RON as well.

Mike, can you please explain what each parameter adjusts?
Thanks

Pulse Width Modulation, I believed that would control the duty cycle for the wastegate solenoid.

So an extra psi, which is worth maybe 10hp or so tops. Might be worth doing only if it's confirmed first, 4psi on 93 and maybe 3psi is for 91-92.

I would check with BMS but the default is 3psi, I would think any more then that is not advisable without higher grade octane than 91. I put in 93 now on the default setting. I just want to know if I can bump up the extra psi.

Normally you can run 3psi for 91-92 octane, 4psi for 93-94 octane, and 6psi for straight race gas.

Ok, so I raise the boost to 4psi for 93, what about the PWM you circled-do I change that number?

So we have it from the Mike's 'mouth' - ok, computer.
Now to consider the USB cable or maybe wait for stage 2 and buy both (unless the USB comes with S2).

Exciting times ahead.

Yeah, I am figuring I will need the cable either way.

Mike, is the stock stock turbo capable of pushing past 23psi efficiently?

I am not 100% sure of the efficiencies of the Turbos, but with any turbo the higher you run you run into diminishing gains. I think the stage2 development will give us a better idea of the efficiency of the turbos and the sweet spots for max power gains.

Also remember its not necessarily peak boost but the full boost curve, and efficiencies will vary by RPM and mods.

I can tell you stage2 is being pushed to around 23PSI +/-

Alright! finally got the tune, installed today and took it for a test run...

Overall, the beast is finally out of its cage. The car feels like its been opened, you feel that extra hidden power in the car which it didn't have before the tune. Personally totally worth it! My car feels fassssssssttt To be honest, it doesn't feel like its incredibly fast as BMS stated "4.9 secs" But I will admit, it feels pretty close!!!! Which is amazing! but not like you are driving a 4.9 second car. But i am sure with stage 2 it will either reach to that level or might even surpass it. I cannot wait for stage 2!!!

I highly recommend the tune! You will love it soo much you wouldn't want to get out of your car! BTW ima do 0-60 times either tonight or tomorrow! Most likely tonight! hopefully!

Got ya! Ya, I wouldn't want to trust raising the boost if im running 91. If i was running a higher octane fuel, most definitely will. But hey! Its enjoyable regardless without the boost raise! freaking fast enough my man! Stage 2 here i come!

Because you can adjust the turbo boost on Stage 1 with the USB (and computer of course) from the 3psi default to 4psi for extra performance, I suspect that Terry and the team at Burger Motorsports did just that for the dyno and vbox runs.

In addition, they would have used 94AKI (98RON) gas.

Being conservative, we probably have 5.1 - 5.4 sec 0-60mph / 5.3 - 5.6 sec 0-100kmh cars @ 3psi boost, possibly faster.

Give it a few days and you will find even further improvements in performance. At least that's what I've experienced.

Sounds great. Looking forward to it. Don't forget to warm the engine up fully before the hard run. Cheers

I know, but the thing is you need to fill up with 94 :/ ... and it's kind of hard to find 94, but if i do i will definitely give it a try! Thanks a Mill David! But I really want to find out if you are still about to use 91 and bring the boost from 3 to 4psi. I am totally 100% sure you will feel a big difference! and bigger once the tune as adapted to your driving.

I definitely will give it a few days mate! Thanks my man!

Oh I won't forget, ima make sure it's properly warmed up before i hit the road and do a 0-60 run.

I have a feeling it will be from 0-60 in 5.5 - 5.4 seconds. Well i mean as you stated

We have 98RON fuel here in Australia and I've been using it in my BMWs since it became available years ago.

When I took delivery of my F30, the dealer put a tankful of 95RON and almost immediately after I started driving with the first fresh tankful of 98RON, I could feel a performance improvement.

So, yes, if I was to boost the turbo to 4psi, I would certainly expect to feel an improvement with the 98RON. I need the USB cable first.
