Nope. First batch of M Sport Tourings have Satin Aluminum roof rails - BMW Canada forgot to change a code on the ordering guide. Just saw a Black Sapphire Metallic car with these rails... Wasn't as bad as I thought.

I guess I would have preferred black but I am very happy with the satin aluminum.
Another member got an offer from BMWCA to replace them with black. I guess I could pursue that but I would rather not pull the headliner on my brand new car.

BMW Canada could pull off a marketing ploy by calling it the M-Sport Touring Silver Lining Edition... only available to the first people who bought a Touring!

Saw a Black Sapphire one in the flesh with the satin roof rails... had mixed feelings about it, matched the wheels nicely but I'm not sure. Saw a EBII one as well (pics only) and thought it didn't look bad at all.

I saw your car at Troys place. It looked great but yeah, I'd fix the rails.

Maybe its a personal choice thing.

How has the car been so far? The F31 is on my list of wants once I decide I've had enough of my car.

^ The car is awesome. Had a long talk with Troy and decided against having the rails replaced for a number of reasons. I am going to experiment with some vinyl wrap - matte black or maybe carbon and then get the CF mirror caps???

Yeah a wrap is a great idea. Simpler too.

No, a wrap is pretty touchy and you need to be able to form corners carefully. I'd get a shop to do it like Troys or a tint shop.

Tell me if that works... or if it's well documented.

I wanted M Sport, Prem & ConnectedDrive, but my dealer has a car with the combo I want, but no ConnectedDrive I *absolutely* need BT streaming...

BTW I've noticed something weird on the test drive. I plugged in my iPhone 5 using a Lightning cable to the NBT nav (with no Apps of course), and tried to fire up TuneIn. Whenever I tried to start playing audio from any other app than Music, iDrive took over and resumed the track currently being played in the Music app. This renders the USB interface completely useless if you want to listen to anything other than songs on your iPhone. Drove me nuts, guess it's a twisted way to force people into buying ConnectedDrive... but I think it'll make a lot of owners angry!

Car looks great. I am ordering an EBII MSport F31 next week. Did you get yours fully loaded?

Any options you don't like?

Thx.

^Thanks. I ordered it with the Executive, Premium, Msport and Mperformance packages.

Seems as though there are some other options available now (eg. HUD, top view camera etc...) but I am very happy with my build. No regrets at all. I have some Sirius issue that needs to be resolved by BMW but apparently it is specific to MY 2014 and fix is not widely available yet.

I am waiting for the Dinan or BMW stage 1 upgrade and would consider a performance exhaust at some time.

The biggest issue for me is moving to an auto tranny after 25+ years of driving manual. I am still trying to decide if I should get rid of my 05 Legacy GT wagon or keep it as a winter beater...

Congrats on your upcoming order.

I have all options except Drivers Assistance Package and BMW Apps. No regrets on my part except for possibly not having HUD which was not available when my car went into production.

Negotiations were a breeze as always.

Calgary BMW's holding yard is under water today. I think they and a number of other dealers may have lost some if not all of their inventory because of the floods.
