aFe Intake Installed

Got the aFe intake in today, simple and straight forward installation. Haven't really got around on it yet but I definitely like hearing that turbo now. A before and after video of the sound difference in my build thread here: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...6&postcount=31

The "other" site did extensive dynos with no intake; ala open element and pure air with fans and did not see any power increase and was adamant an intake on the f30 n55 platform was a waste of money. But if the placebo effect is in full force then im glad you're happy.

If your referring to bms that was with a 328i. They have stated that with a 335i there is the potential for gains and that they also are in the progress of developing their own intake at this time.

This is wrong...terry has said it himself as I do beta testing for him.
Then why are they developing an intake at all?

I believe they are developing an intake that will help JB4 users who are trying to max out the power. Also it might include a preturbo meth bung.

Looks like if you have a JB4 Stage 2 their are gains to be had with their intake they are developing.

I'm missing the part were Tre said they were adamant about it being a waste of money based on what Mike had said about it definitely having potential.

Apparently being a beta tester for Terry you get more insight than what Mike tells the public.

I'm running the stage 2 as well.

Looks good, definitely enjoy the sound. Don't really notice any 'gains' but then again I'm probably not the type of an enthusiast that would notice if it there was any.

Very curious to know how this intake feels.. I had the Injen and after a while the wining got a little annoying. This this one has a closed box I feel like it shouldn't be as loud and probably show better gains.

If anyone is interested we sell this AFE intake on our website for $440 shipped
