It depends what you joke about. When I think your making fun of something I take serious I won't be laughing. I'm just a mid level guy not some superstar but I'm decent. Compared to most of the wanna bes here I'm a pro.

You're probably right. The CCC I attended a few months ago was humbling. It was my second time with instruction, the first being with a Vette group at Spring Mountain a number of years ago. Among several takeaways, number one would have to be further instruction, if you intend to drive the car like it was meant to be driven.

ETA...a couple weeks ago, I got the car sideways on a 90 degree right. In MDM, not paying attention, and got on the 633HP a bit too early and heavy. Scary as hell on a public road.

Well the fist time on a rally course with an instructor was no picnic either. Considering I expected angels to land to sing my braises, I quickly realized the instructor was wrong and I was right and he didn't know what he was talking about.

Most of our roads are back roads and even now, over ten years later I still hear the guys voice in my head every time I approach a corner too optimistically.
