It's only a bonus if you want to save money on lenses by not buying L lenses. That being said, there are some exceptions to that rule, like the EF-S 10-22mm, etc.

You can remote trigger pretty easily with some affordable, yet durable Paul C. Buff CyberSync modules.

If built-in flash is a deal breaker, get a 7D over the 5D2.

I've had 0 problems with any of my refurbished Canon equipment. Some of the lenses even look brand new. My refurb 5D2 came with 734 actuations, which I'm with, since I saved a ton of money over buying brand new.

flash isn't really a big deal since I have an external...but the fact that the 7D will trigger the 430 that I have is a plus...that and I have a couple of lenses that would fit the 7D and not the 5Dii

After having some trouble clearly defining hue, tone, color, chroma, tint, etc, for myself, I decided to look this stuff up. Incase there are any other newbs (like myself) that are interested, here's a (crappy) website with some good explanations:

The BIG difference between the 5D2 for me and the 7D is the high-ISO performance of the 5D2. Properly exposed, they're both great at ISO 800 and below. Above ISO 800 the 5D2 starts getting the upper hand and the difference get progressively larger. I wouldn't dream of doing night street scenes with my 7D, but I look forward to it everytime I travel and take my 5D2. If you're NOT going to be pushing ISO a lot, then the 7D really is a great tool when matched with the right lenses.

Some poo-poo the burst rate of the 7D. I use it all the time to great advantage. I'll seldom do 8-shots in a second, but I'll often do a burst of 2 to 4 in .5-second or less. I just shot a corporate golf outing and with the burst I could get the strike of the ball and the ball coming off the club. With sports you can get three or four shots right around the peak action. Quite often all shots will have decent hand and arm positions, but one might have better light on the face or something that really makes one stand out from the others. Of course, for birds in flight I can pick from several wing positions. I love the high burst rate of the 7D and encourage those that have it to make use of it. There's no reason to ration bits and bites now that we're not paying for film anymore.

aparently you didn't watch too many movies with those actors? or SCTV.... there was a lot of horrible stuff back then coming from Canada.

I've chosen to completely forget that movie existed.... but you have to remember, that all the people in that move back in the 90s was actually the population of Canada at the time, that's why it was the best we could do
