Pic request - Color matched M-perfomrance front lip
I'm 50/50 on the M-perf lip for my MR car. Not sure if I dig the contrast of the black against my red. (Looks sporty but takes away from the lines).
Anyway, I do like how the lip looks...anyone got a picutre of the front lip fully color-matched to the car? Hopefully someone can post one in blue or red... TIA

I struggled with this as well. You can google f30 M sport and find them in all ways. The problem I think with painting the bottom or the complete is rock chips since it is so close to the ground and depending on how careful of a driver you can have scrape marks too that will make it look like crap instantly.
For me the all painted look made it appear like a cheap ground effects kit in my opinion. Made the front look like a continuous wall which I thought opposite and took away the lines more than keeping it black. Doing only the bottom lip was my first preference but where I live we have winter and we have a ton of sand on the roads from winter so it would not be long before it looked like crap. |

I may even keep my BMW stock height (M sport) so as to minimize this issue..but yes i am well aware of this problem. Once you bottom out on the lip, the urethane will stretch and the entire paint structure can start to crack off.

Lowered on tein ss, and once had mugen bumper, brembo etc on it. It was so low i scraped that thing once in a while no matter how hard i tried. Sold the bumber and raised car a little bit. Now it is back to type r look form. Anyways, just had same mind when you said you were once a Honda ricer lol I still love late 90s to early 2000s honda. They are losing their spirit! |

Here's another Melbourne Red w/M Performance lip:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=999521 I have a BSM, so upper part color matched, lower part matte black. Will fit well with the side extension that I'm about to order.
