Confirmed order on a 330D M Sport

Hey chaps,

Finally got my confirmation back yesterday that my 330D M Sport has been ordered This will be my first Bimmer and I can't wait. Should be around 8 weeks or so, I guess? There are some really good lease deals out there at the moments on the F30 range so I played the field a bit the hit the options list pretty hard after securing a really competative base price

So in the end went for 330D M Sport in Estoril Blue with Red Dakota Leather and Brushed Aluminium trim Then added a few options:
19" M light alloys
Advanced Parking Package

-PDC front & rear
-Park Assist
-Reversing Camera
Visibility Package
-Adaptive Headlights
-Xenons
-Headlight Wash
-High Beam Assistant
Media Package - BMW Professional Multimedia
-Black panel display
-BMW Assist
-BMW Assist online portal
-Enhanced Bluetooth with USB Audio
-Navigation System Professional
Adaptive M Sport Suspension
Sun Protection Glass
Electric Lumbar Support
Heated Seats
Gray Shade band on windscreen
Rear folding headrests
Harmon/Kardon surround sound
Mobile Application prep

Now it's just like counting the days until Christmas

Congratulations!

Coral red with estoril? Look forward to seeing some actual real life pictures since most people on this forum seem to be put off ordering "Superman" spec as they dub it.

The waiting is horrible, there's no doubt about that.

I originally put a deposit down on my 328 M-Sport in March, ordered 26th May, and am still waiting for it now! It's killing me!

But it'll be worth it no doubt!

Congratulations mate.

Hopefully, I'm going to place an order for a 330D in the next 2 weeks.

Can I ask what kind of discount you managed to get?

@ikonic - Yeah I've read some of the comments about the "Superman" colours but to each his own and all that. I remember seeing an Estoril blue M3 with red leather a few years ago and thinking it looked epic. So hopefully I'll love it and if I don't well it's only a 2yr lease deal so I'll get a different one in a couple of years

@Deyvy - It's on a lease but the figures are very good if you shop around. I'm on a 3/23 contract with 15000mpa and I got figures for the basic car at £460 and £499 for the same car with ZMP media pack. Obviously, as with any lease, the options are a killer (mine's come in at £640 per month). Look at any of the LeasePlan Network franchisees since LeasePlan backed finance companies are currently undercutting everyone else by around £100 per month on the F30 for some reason

I drive a modified Mazda 6 MPS at the moment and I'm thinking that this 'ere 330 is going to be just as quick in the real world when I want it to be - and better to drive - and yet still get me 50+mpg as I'm pottering up and down the M42

Future father in law is buying me/us/her the car .

So I've gone a bit mental with the options. But looking around and a quote from the guy who buys all our company cars. I'm hoping for at least 6%. 7% according to broadspeed.

Before you call me a lucky bastard. Her tradition suggests I pay for the wedding and give a 'gift' to the family.

But the gift resulted in them buying us the car. So, it's a distraction from the financial pain of paying for everything else. A very good distraction though.

Epic stuff!

For what it's worth, there's 14% in a BMW at a main dealer ... that's what you have to work with

I have heard and have known that dealers tend give better discounts to normal buyers opposed to brokers/car consultants. I'd rather buy direct too, as I'd get better customer service as well as building up a relationship with the dealer for the future. My first car purchase, so good to know what to aim for and what I should at the very least, get.

Any weight in the, "discount more at the end of the month to meet targets" theory?

It's actually the other way round. I tried desperately to buy from a dealer. They couldn't get within £100p/m of the lease deals I was getting through brokers and ultimately the brokers buy their cars from the dealers so they're clearly getting them cheaper and/or financing them much, much cheaper.

For sure. I spent 6 years in the motor trade and this is a very true "urban legend". However, it's only available if the dealer isn't meeting their targets to acheive all the back end monies. If they've had a good month then they won't be bothered.

Anyone after a lease deal then try out this one, as mentioned by TMP on another thread:

http://www.solentvehicleleasing.co.u...&BusPrc=279.99

Unbelievable at £335 inc VAT a month base price.

Wow, that is a great spec (the price per month made my eyes water though!)

Wonder if we will get our cars on the same day

Cheers - can't wait. As for the price, don't forget that my contract is 3/23 so no big downpayment, it's also fully maintained with 5* AA recovery and 15,000mpa mileage. Most cheap, headline figures are minus all the above and often 8 or 10,000 miles per annum and on a 6/35 deal I must have dealt with a dozen brokers and 3 dealers to get to that price ... options are just a killer though.

I actually broke my arbitrary budget by £40pm and so I gave up smoking to compensate and treat myself And since smoking's worth about £100pm in my case, I'm better off. And I might yet live to see 40

Lovely car mate, great spec. I thought about red leather, might regret going for black. Have you got it already?

Crikey Blimey Guv'nor. Got my dates from the dealer ...

I placed my order on 15/08
My build date is w/c 22/10
My dealer delivery date is w/c 12/11
I guess I'll get the car around 16th or 17th of November at this rate

That'll be over 12 weeks from start to finish and I've still got 10 weeks to go

How on earth???

The 318d Sport (like mine) is coming out with similar numbers to the deal I've done, which is good, so how is the top of the range 330d Msport auto so much cheaper?

Not sure if that price is real - if you select the 330d Msport from the list of F30's you get a price of £467 a month.

The price is real, I can assure you. although, that should be was real as the offer has now closed after running for about a week.

it was once of those 'one off' offers that I had no choice to jump at!
