Instrument Panel Lighting Sensitivity (On/Off)

I recently jumped into coding, so my skill set is limited. I've yet to find a clear answer after searching.

I'd like my instrument panel lighting to activate sooner in brighter environments. I often find myself looking down in a slightly darker environment, expecting the panel to be lit. I wouldn't care if it was constantly on, actually. The lighting activation is perfect in this sense in my X5M.

So, is this possible to fix with coding? I appreciate any assistance.

I too find the BMW instrument panel to be dark and useless in many conditions. In the E90, you could set the lights to always be on. Can't do it on the F30.

The dash lights come on with the headlights. If you have them set to auto you can code them for more or less sensitivity, but you can't code the dash separately from them.
