Will M235i Active 8 work on my 435i

Long time lurker, first real post. I'm looking into tunes for my 2014 435i xdrive and found an active 8 locally for a great price; however it's from a 2016 m235i. I am unsure of compatibility with my car, can someone please help. Picture attached!

When I called Active Autowerke they were very helpful and said that it is compatible. All connectors will be the same however boost levels are ever so slightly lower on the active 8 for 235i vs 435i, this is not a concern to me as very close levels and I can get reflashed to 435i software according to Active Autowerke (can someone confirm this).

Currently only have MPE but looking into catless DP, charge pipe, intake and FMIC within a few months. Should I maybe consider a different tune instead? BM3 or jb4 or Active flash, MHD, ect?

Can someone with more knowledge please confirm or send links to other posts. Thanks a lot! Any help is appreciated!

That box will be compatible with your 435i. However if you plan on adding the DP our software reflash would be a better option.

Thanks for also confirming! How would software update benefit me with DP??? Also anywhere near Toronto, Canada I can go for a reflash? (Place I was told is a 3 hour drive)

You can flash it at home with one of our Simon-3 cables using your PC laptop. The software reflash can take advantage of free flowing downpipes and keep your dash CEL-free.

Thanks a lot for you're help! Much appreciated! I'll go ahead and do that! Just realized they're $300 cables? Can I use this to flash the car ecu? I'm looking to just reflash the Active 8. However I'd be open to a car reflash too
