Distortion a focal length and perspective make

Compare these 2 pics...It's like waking up next to an ugly chick...

We didn't take the photo of the gray F30 with a wide angle lens, just a regular SLR kit lens. The image is just taken closer to the car and at a slightly different angle. It does have a slight fisheye effect due to being so close to the car.

The image of the blue F30 however was taken with a telephoto lens (which our spy photographer uses while in the field), and looks to be suffering from some perspective compression (aka foreshortening), which is an effect telephoto lenses sometimes have.

So, both images are a bit distorted.

Just look through the official photos thread and you'll see enough images to get an idea of what the car really looks like.

Not many photographers know this. Selection of focal length has a huge impact on how the subject is perceived.

Distortion a focal length and perspective make

Bottom line, you have to see it to judge it.
