iPhone X and NBT

Have these paired up, but when I press phone on the steering wheel the recents just shows no entries?? Tried pairing/unpairing restarting, also updated NBT? Still no joy, anybody else have this?

Newest phones and software are running a new version of BT which iDrive isn't hugely happy with. Might be fixable with a dealer update to iDrive though at this stage I've given up, I can't even play music over BT on my Pixel anymore...

The latest idrive. CIC was before, NBT (NextBigThing) been around since about 2013/4.....
