320i JB4 dyno test & update

You guys might be interested in some of this 320i & electronic wasteagate control info.

We've been running this car on E30 for the last few months and kept that unchanged. Boost targets here are as much as 12psi over stock in parts, more than 2x the factory boost. Spool also appears to be improved as is post shift boost. Overall a good step in the right direction.

The log is of the most aggressive target tested which resulted in 270whp. Not a bad delta compared to stock.

Mike, I guess the second picture is the e-wastegate control harness, correct?

It looks pretty similar to 328 Stage 2 map 1.

Do you guys still have plans to achieve the same power as the 328 with pneumatic solenoid and race gas?

damm 270to the wheels is good.. Get something for the 328... I d be happy with 320 whp

So would it be correct to assume the n20 328 Stage 2 with electronic waste is in the works?

so the base 320i has 183hp at the wheel? That's higher then the claimed rating by BMW

Yeah makes it around 215 at the crank, close to an e90 328 w/torque much sooner. Ive been driving my stock 320i now for 4 days and it definitely doesn't feel like 180HP. Ive loosely timed some 0-60 runs at high 6's. Can't wait to get the BMS Stage 1 setup!

Be interesting to see if you could stick the 600W fan from the 328 into the 320i. Apparently there is a wiring harness so it's not exactly plug and play. I expect a DIY will show up sooner or later . . .

In America, 320i has only 300W fan.
But Europe type of 320i has one of 300w, 400w, 600w.

You can check it on www.realoem.com

I've not checked yet type of fan's version on my car. But I'm lucky 600w fans installed on my 320i.

I have a 320i with stage 1 JB.

What is the difference here? is it stage 2? Or have they got control of the e-wastegate? Can you explain the difference from the current Stage 1?

I have a 320i with JB stage2. I've never experienced stage 1, so it is very difficult to say what is different. Stage 2 is also not able to control e-waste gate not yet. BMS still is working on it. My car has pneumatic solenoid type.
So, I am able to use peak boost on map 5.
Increasing performance is awesome.
I ran with stock 328i(N26), I more faster than it.

100-200km/h, only 13.5 secs.

It's real.

so you guys are telling me that the 2014 320 xdrive is capable of such gains with just jb4 tune stage 1? What's stage 2? thanks
