Anyone heard of this engine failure on N54 engine
Den tyske bilprodusenten BMW kaller inn nesten en halv million biler for å rette en feil som kan gi alvorlig motorskade.
VG følger Bil og trafikk Motorene på de berørte bilene har en svak skrue i sine sekssylindrede motorer. Det dreier seg om rundt 489.000 biler, hvorav 390.000 er solgt i USA eller Kina, opplyste en talsmann for BMW fredag. - I Norge er det noen få slike biler, anslagsvis mellom 40 og 50. Disse bilene vil også bli kalt inn for sjekk og eventuelt retting av feilen, sier Kjetil Myhre i BMWs norske avdeling til NTB. The owners may continue driving as normal until they get called in to get the failure fixed at the workshop. We saw the same article stateside this week as well. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/11/au...ines.html?_r=0 It's the Vanos housing in the N54 engine. Not N55.
