I don't know the specific BT coding variables. That's why you just VO code it when you change 6NH to 6NK. VO coding makes all of the variable changes for you.

We're you able to verify that 6NK is in your cars' FA?

To verify, I just do the same thing as when VO Coding but check to see if 6NK is already there, correct? If so, then ya 6NK is there.

Hi Frogman, I have VO coded from 6NH to 6NK. I have an office menu but I don't see anything other than contacts. No sms, calendar or email.

I don't have BMW Assist (6NL). What if I were to add it to the VO? What would happen?

Also, what is the code for BMW live? 6Nx?

Yes, VO coding will wipe out all of your HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA codings. You will have to re-apply them.

I think you are missing the step where you are writing the VO to the car first before coding the HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA. It is in a different menu.

I followed your instructions and those specifically those in the "Part 3" pdf. Those have a few extra steps such as "calculate fp", etc. I did all of that as well. After I save the VO, I go back and say "yes". After doing all of your instructions and in Part 3 (including the various times I need to click on "calculate fp"), I then expanded HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA, then right clicked on the CAFD, and clicked "Code" (as if I never vo coded and was just doing regular fdl coding).

I think they are 614, 615, and/or 6AL. Checkout the main coding thread.

There are several guys that have more experience changing this stuff.

Check out he stuff posted by kon or send him a PM requesting help. He seems to have the most experience with this.

all i get under office (appears after VO coding 6NK) is contacts and notes.
Can anyone help me get more stuff here? I enabled more things in the CAFD file but no noticable effect so far. Using iphone 3g (ios 4xx) and 4s (ios 5.1xx)

I think they may only apply to HU_CIC based cars with a separate combox.

I've tried those settings with no success, Frogman. I appreciate the follow up help. Kon said it may be a Bluetooth setting which I will look at this weekend. I'll let you know.

Another thought: Have you tried connecting your phone via USB to the car and see if you get office?

I seem to remember someone saying that it helped the car to recognize the capabilities of the phone.

I'm grasping at straws at this point!

Small update: I found that in combox media, under 3001, there were a couple of things I needed to enable. Now, the car shows that Office is an option under bluetooth. However, when I go to my specific phone, Office does not show up. I tried removing and re-pairing my phone, but no luck. You would think this indicates that it is my phone; however, I have one of the latest Android phones (Nexus 4) and I don't think it would NOT be supported. My older Android phone worked with Office before...

I have not played with android phone before, but the few Sony android phone that I'm looking at now... Only a few specifically mention map is supported. So it's best you make sure your phone "map" message access protocol is activated properly. I only know how to make blackberry and iPhone work

I have the same problem HU_NBT changed 6NH to 6NK and I now have all the bluetooth extended capabilities.
For those who are wondering YES it does work with two phones at the same time. The hardware is the same.
So that being the case I should have office however I only get notes and contacts under the office menu. BMW say that my android Samsung Galaxy S2 should support SMS function. But there is no option in the menu.
This could be because office does not show under the phone bluetooth options menu.
Anyone got this to work...

Also trying to fix my greyed out coded BMW Live option but that is another thread.
