If you have CIC Head Unit, you can not get USB Video, as there is no FBAS Video connection from the 6FL Center Armrest port and the CIC.

If you have NBT Head Unit, then yes, you can code USB Video to work.

Dealers do not sell ENET Cables.

thanks for replying.. I have a 2013 328i with the widescreen so I am guessing I have the NBT.. oh and I was able to find someone with an ENET cable.. yes! http://www.f30post.com/forums/images/smilies/w00t.gif

Whats the code to enable video via USB on a NBT head unit? I didn't see it in the pdf cheat sheet. this would be the greatest thing everrr!! thx

Also do you know the supported formats? my car isn't coded yet but I cant play videos via usb when in "P" but i can play them through DVD in "P". After coding I am hoping for stranded mp4s

I will save you some time.

If you are in the U.S., and you have an MY 2013 F30, you have CIC.

NBT will not be here in the F30 until MY 2014. You cannot code this. Sorry.

Here's a question that's just a little off-topic: should one code a loaner?

As I was driving away from the dealer with the loaner, the service adviser just happen to say that the #1 request he hears is that people want to have all the doors unlock when the engine shuts down.

I was a breath away from telling him that's easily done.

Now, while they try to eliminate an airbag gremlin from my car, I am missing weather band and auto door opening, not to mention no disclaimer.

So, what do people think? Code a loaner or not?
