Exx coding requires a DCAN (USB x OBD) Interface, EDIABAS, NCS Expert, and SP-Daten files, and you will connect to OBD Port.

I do not know about MAC.

Hey shawn, I live in Australia but I don't think any of this would be too different to you guys over in the US.

Do you think I would be able to enable 6NS in my car?

According to my VIN, production date was 07/2013. I can confirm that I have NBT iDrive as I have the red rectangles on the main screen of iDrive

I have 609 - Pro Nav and 6NH.

I don't have a combox in my boot so I'm guessing it's built into the HU.

Is it simply a matter of changing the FA in my car then replacing 6NH with 6NS in HU_NBT?

Yes, with NBT you can.

No. You must have Combox (CMB_MEDIA) ECU.

Shawnsheridan you are the man!

Took the plunge last night and changed 6NH to 6NS in cars's FA and then VO Code HU_Entry and CMB_Media. I now have enhanced Bluetooth! Whoop! I have a 4/2014 build 328i without Nav, but it has a combox.

That was Rev1. After that I did Rev2 with CAFD code changes to remove legal disclaimers for iDrive and PDC, remove the font amber indicators on opening, add tire pressure and temperature and fold/unfold mirrors.

What great changes! Props to the guys like you that figured these out.

Now onto Rev 3...

Do you think I'm able to code 6NH to 6NS? (I have two phones and I need them to be connected at the same time)

Since I have 6AC (Emergency call) and 6AE (Teleservices) as well, can I code 6AK (Connected Drive App) and Office features?

We don't get 606 Business Nav here stateside, so I am not all that familiar with it. My guess is you have new HU_ENTRYNAV Head Unit, which should support 6NS, so you should be able to get EBT and Office. 6AK, which now includes BMW Apps (not Office) is a VIN specific subscription service, so you would not be able to just add it.

Yes. If there is no 6NH, as it the case on newer builds, still add 6NS.

For reference useful for others: I explicitly needed to unpair and re-pair both my phones and enable the "Phone2" option under Office options in the iDrive main menu.
Now I can connect two phones at the same time and use them to stream music via BT as well.

I have also changed my FA from 6NH to 6NS in order to get the enhanced bluetooth options. Last week my car was in my dealers garage because of a heating failure and they weren`t able to perform a software update...
Is it possible to keep the EBT function and change the FA back tho 6NH...?

No. You would have to set 6NH back in your FA, let them rogram the car, and then simply recode 6NS.

You just need to remove it from FA, and write the updated FA back to car to get it though programming. You do not need to work about the coding.
