Does 340 sit lower?
At dealership today and saw a 340 in the showroom with M sport package and 19 inch rims. There was definitely less wheel gap in the 340 compared to my 328 with M package with 18 inch rims. Is that normal? Didn't think rim size would make s difference since the bigger the rim the thinner the tires. Anyway, please advise. Thanks

My guess the wheels give the wheel well a more full look. But it is possible that there are ride height differences I suppose. Are your shipping blocks out?
Also, a showroom car may have had the M performance suspension lowering it an inch or so. When I picked up my 340i in October there was a fully loaded M performance 335i in the showroom at my dealer. Was definitely lower

May be the M sport suspension is different on the 328 then the 340.

May be an illusion. My 340 is lower than my wife's 335 but this is expected as hers is xdrive. That should be the only differentiator in height between two M Sport cars.

Even between specimens are different
I have 2 2013 f30 msports. My n26 is lower than my n20. Both purchased new. No one at the dealer has any explanation.

FWIW I have the M Sport Suspension and there's only two fingers of wheel gap. It also feels lower than any other stock BMW I've been in. |

They are the same height. You're confusing the M Performance suspension which is 10mm lower than M Sport or M Adaptive.

I think there are basically 3 heights.
1. M performance suspension. 20mm lower than normal. 2. M sport suspension on rwd. 10mm lower than normal. 3. Regular / xdrive suspension.
