A tail of two jailed drivers
I posted a link the other day to a local driver jailed for killing someone.
https://www.facebook.com/CMPGcops/po...33408736699698 Then read this on BBC news today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35427253 So the person who kills someone gets 3 years 4 months. The dangerous driver jailed for 2 years 6 months. Now the dangerous driver is a total cock and deserves it. However, there is 10 months difference between sentencing! While it does not mention other details for the dangerous driver, one seems a high sentence, the other very low. Just no balance on sentencing really. |

The ones I dont get are the recent (?) crimes of causing death by careless driving / reckless driving. It seems then your punishment is being increased because someone died not because you did anything worse (partic for the careless offence) Ian |
